Some errors in the page numbering are spotted in the CD-ROM version of the Main Conference Proceedings disseminated during the conference (there is no error in the Workshop Conference Proceedings though). We have revised the page numbers of the entire Main Conference Proceedings. Please  download the new table of contents for the Main Conference Proceedings that carries the correct page numbers for your future citations of the conference papers. We sincerely apologise for the inconveniences caused!

The Global Chinese Society of Computers in Education is in the process of setting up a new permanent website for the GCJCE (the journal), which is expected to be launched by the end of the year. We will then publish the full proceedings on this website. Watch this space for more updates!

 About GCCCE

The Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education (GCCCE) is an annual international conference that has been held respectively in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Chung-Li, Beijing, Nanjing, Hawaii, Michigan and Taipei over the past 13 years. It has now been recognized as a major conference for researchers and educators around the globe who are interested in InfoComm Technology (ICT) in Education in the (but not restricted to) Chinese communities.

Aims and Objectives
The bilingual (Chinese and English) conference intends to provide a critical opportunity for researchers and educators around the world to discuss and share ideas over the application of computers and information technology in education. Conference papers and discussions gather the awareness of employing information and computing technologies in teaching and learning in order to enhance the quality of education from learning individuals to the public, within and out of the classroom. The conference aims to offer updates to participants on the current development and application of ICT on teaching and learning.

GCCCE 2010
The 14th GCCCE is slated to be held in Singapore, June 1-4，2010 at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The organizers consist of the Learning Sciences & Technologies Academic Group and the Learning Sciences Laboratory of National Institute of Education, Centre for Educational Development of NTU, Singapore Centre for Chinese Language, Singapore Chinese Teachers’ Union, and  Global Chinese Society for Computers in Education.

In view of the vision of the IT Masterplan 3 of the Ministry of Education, Singapore, and the current trend of learning sciences and technologies, we set the conference theme to be: Towards a New Era of Knowledge Creation. The conference theme signifies the GCCCE community’s renewed interest in further exploring the ICT as a “learning partner” to facilitate or enhance our young and adult learners’ self-directed learning, collaborative learning, and ultimately, knowledge building.
