GCCCE 2010--Workshops & Tutorials

Workshops

Workshops will be held in the form of "mini-conferences". Organisers of individual workshops have set specific educational technology-related themes and invite scholars and teachers all over the world to submit papers. All papers will be reviewed by workshop program committees. All papers accepted by workshops will appear in the workshop proceedings with ISBN. 

NOTE: The workshops do NOT accept abstract submissions. Please submit full papers (up to 5 pages).


The paper submission deadline is: March 15 (Extended).

All of the workshops accept papers written in Chinese and English, as well as both academic-oriented papers submitted by scholars/graduate students and practice-oriented papers submitted by K-12 teachers (except for W08 which only accepts scholarly papers). It is hoped to embark the dialogue and exchange between scholars and practitioners so as to achieve mutual benefits and growth. We will be setting up a "GCCCE 2010 Special Issue" on the Engineering Index (EI)-listed International Journal on Continuous Engineering Education and Life-Long Learning (IJCEELL). Outstanding papers from the main conference and the workshops will be invited to revise, expand and publish their papers in the Special Issue.
 

Selected papers pertaining to Chinese Language learning (regardless of which workshop they are submitted to) will also be invited to be published on either a scholarly book of the stated theme (as one of the book series published by Singapore Centre for Chinese Langauge) or the Journal of Chinese Language Education.


The workshops will be open to the registrants of the main GCCCE 2010 conference, free admission. All the workshop organisers and at least one author of each accepted workshop paper must register for the conference.

 

 Tutorials

Tutorials will be conducted in the form of special-themed courses pertaining to educational technology, including learning tools and ICT-enhanced pedagogies. The tutorial durations are 3 or 6 hours. A participation fee will be chargeable (though participants need not be the registrants of the main GCCCE 2010 conference).
